We face so many different challenges in life we can’t help but be consumed with worries. However, the Bible says, “…cast all your anxieties on him because he cares for you.” We must cast our worries on God in two regards: making a living and relationships. And we should be worried about two things: the Lord’s Coming and “feeding” others at the proper time.

We worry about making a proper living: we have to put food on the table, clothes on our backs, and roofs over our heads. God says, “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.” Easier said than done. So how do we rid ourselves of worries, anxiety, and stress? Believe with absolute conviction that the Lord will take care of all these matters! Have faith and do two things: do the things He says to do regardless of how hard it may be and stop doing the things He says not to do. His blessing will be more than enough to rid ourselves of any worries.

Second, we form relationships with people, objects, and the material world. Worrying about relationships can consume us. For all relationships to be good and sound, live according to the will of God and righteously. All other relationships will fall into place. If you are right with God, you are right with people and the material world.

The first thing we must worry about is the Lord’s Coming. We must worry about leaving this earth. If the Lord comes today and this is our last day on earth, have we prepared without regrets for the next life? Can we die without regrets? If we die today, can we say confidently, “I have done my best! I have no regrets!” We must think about the moment we face the Lord and live our lives accordingly.

The second thing we must worry about is “giving food at the proper time.” In other words, have I helped others with their salvation or have I hurt them? Have my evil ways and thoughts influenced others to become eviler? Did I muddy their vision of God and heaven? Or did I fill others with hope? Did others see God and a vision of heaven through me? We must absolutely worry about becoming a person who helps, not hurts, other people.

We must cast all our anxieties in the Lord. When it comes to everyday matters of surviving and thriving in this word, we must believe in the Lord and live without worries. If we form the proper relationship to God, all other relationships fall in place. On the other hand, we must worry about living without regrets. We must worry about being good and beneficial to others.
