“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” (2 Corinthians 4:16)
Are you in a rut? Are you stuck in your ways, incapable of change? We can’t control physically “wasting away” and getting old, but we can be renewed inwardly day by day. There are many ways we can feel renewed or refreshed. We can take a bath or buy new clothes or move into a new house. Spiritually, we can renew ourselves through the merit of Jesus’ redemption and sincere prayer, and it’s free! Instead of being fixed in our ways, let’s renew ourselves through Jesus.
Let’s renew our relationship with God, family members, friends, and even our jobs. Reexamine all your relationships. Are they static or in need of change? Renew them through God. Let’s renew every aspect of our lives and do it daily. We can do this through thinking of Jesus and prayer. The purpose of prayer is renewal. When we pray, the person before prayer and after prayer should be different. Prayer should change us! If it doesn’t, think about the way you are praying.
FIX AND RENEW! FIX AND RENEW!
From this moment on, let’s renew ourselves inwardly day by day and change our lives. We don’t want to hear, “He’s always so-called praying but never changes! Can’t teach an old dog new tricks!” We can change and renew our relationship with God, people, and the workplace. If we become renewed, God will look at us differently. The world will look at us differently. Our blessing will change. Everything will change for the better.
