“Come now, let us settle the matter,”
    says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
    they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
    they shall be like wool.”  Isaiah 1:18

Here are twenty things we can repent regarding God, the Bible, people, events, and material items.

Regarding God

  1. Repent the sin of not fearing only God. Fear only God!
  2. Repent the sin of not loving only God. Love only God!
  3. Repent the sin of not looking only to God. Look only to God!
  4. Repent the sin of undiscriminating obedience. Obey only God!

Regarding the Bible

  1. Repent the sin of reading other books more than the Bible. Read the Bible more!
  2. Repent the sin of not believing everything in the Bible. Believe everything!
  3. Repent the sin of not living according to the Bible. Live according to the Bible!
  4. Repent the sin of not carrying around the Bible with you at all times. Carry the Bible!

Regarding People

  1. Repent the sin of seeing others without thinking of God. Address others in the face of God!
  2. Repent the sin of not loving others. Love others as I love myself!
  3. Repent the sin of being arrogant. Be humble!
  4. Repent the sin of carelessly interacting with people. Be cautious in all interactions!

Regarding Life Events

  1. Repent the sin of consulting only other humans beings when confronting a life event. Consult God!
  2. Repent the sin of valuing human appraisal. Value only God’s appraisal!
  3. Repent the sin of receiving guidance from only other people. Receive guidance from God!
  4. Repent the sin of indiscriminately receiving help. Receive help from God!

Regarding Material Items

  1. Repent the sin of perceiving material items come only from other creatures. Receive only from God.
  2. Repent the sin of  nonobjective savings. Save only what God says to keep!
  3. Repent the sin of giving and receiving at will. Give only what God says to give.
  4. Repent the sin of using things according to selfish desires. Use only what God says to use!
