“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”

Luke 2:14

As we approach the end of the year, it is time to reflect on the past year and look forward to the new year. What should we be doing during the last days of the year? We should look back and repent the sins we have committed throughout the year. Repent those sins and make sure those sins do not carry over to the new year. All the sins and wrongdoing stop now! Brush all sins off and start the new year free from sin.

We are weak. We lack willpower. On our own, we cannot overcome sins and bad habits. But Jesus died for our sins. If we connect to God, there is no sin we can’t repent. If we fail to repent our sins, God worries about us, and those sins work like a poison inside of us. We can make all the promises in the world, but without God, we cannot overcome sins that have been dragging us down for years.

When we decide to repent and fix what is wrong, do not be afraid of the repercussions. “If I repent this sin, I might be fired from my job.” “If I fix this bad thing, I might lose my friends.” Repent without fear! God puts all our burdens and worries on His shoulders. All we have to do is repent. Stop fixating on what you think will happen if you repent and change! God takes care of those things.

When we repent, let us fix our relationships. Fix your relationship with God! Fix your relationship with family members and loved ones! Fix your relationship with your job or workplace! Fix all these relationships and start new relationships that are in line with God. We have so many toxic relationships mired in sin. Repent and fix all these relationships before the new year starts.

Although we let sin, the devil, and death control us this year, we must break free from these trappings in the new year. We must break free from jealousy, spite, worries, and everything else sin brings our way. Shake it all off and start the new year fresh. What happens if we break the chains of sin, devil, and death? We are set free. We are liberated. Let us toss the baggage of sin aside and run freely in the new year!

This year, I am planning on having a special service on the 31st. I will keep the church warm the entire day. We will have a service at midnight, and we will greet the new year together. Come to the church at any time during the day. Spend the day repenting all your sins. Come with the mindset to break free from sin! Break free from the devil! For once in our lives, let us live worry-free and full of joy! Entrust everything to God! Are we going to be rich or poor? Healthy or sick? Leave this in God’s hands. If God fills our lives with miracles and blessings, for what else can we ask?

During the last days of the year, look back at 2019. Repent all your sins. Fix everything wrong. Greet the new year without the trappings of sin and wrongdoings. Once you repent all your sins, look for the will of God and execute His will. Follow His commands. Do not relapse into sin and follow His will. If you do this for three months, I guarantee all your immediate problems will be solved. And if you do this for three years, you will be completely free and filled with His blessings and miracles!

  2. Don’t carry these sins into the new year.

  4. Break free from sin and be liberated.
  5. Don’t relapse, follow and execute His will.
